Sogno di una notte di fine anno - A New Year’s Eve Dream

A big solid, a massive pyramid, towers over the centre of the square. A ticking clock breaks the silence of this New Year’s Eve and... may the dream begin. The music wraps the space around, the massive solid comes to life, the square is transformed into a dreamland world full of surprises. The rhythm is persisting and, in a spectacular crescendo of images and sound, the pyramid slowly reveals its secrets until, at a climax it affords its most precious content: midnight is approaching and the equestrian statue of Emanuele Filiberto has finally made the scene, the protagonist of this finale will accompany us through to the new year. The wild rhythm of an Eastern European brass band underscores the beginning of 2004 dragging the audience into an interminable night of dances and contagious good cheer.
